Tremaine Harris (born February 10, 1992) is a Canadian track and field athlete. He is a very fast runner who specializes in short races, also known as sprints.

Tremaine is from a Jamaican family and can speak both English and French. His fastest time for the 200-meter race is 20.22 seconds. This makes him one of the fastest Canadians ever in that event! He has two coaches, Anthony McCleary and Desai Williams, who help him train.

Early Life and School

Tremaine Harris was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As he grew up, he went to several different schools around the Greater Toronto Area. These schools included Father Henry Carr Secondary School, Markham District High School, and Bur Oak Secondary School. He moved to these schools to help him with his running career.

Tremaine's Running Career

Tremaine started competing internationally in 2010. His first big race was the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics, where he ran the 400-meter sprint.

In 2011, Tremaine had a fantastic year. He competed in the Canadian Junior Track and Field Championships and won gold medals in both the 200-meter and 400-meter races. Even though he was still a junior athlete, he also competed in the main Canadian Track and Field Championships that same year. He won a gold medal in the 400-meter race with a time of 46.24 seconds. This was a special achievement because he was the first Canadian to win gold in the same event at both the junior and senior championships in the same year!

Less than a month later, Tremaine won his first international medal. He earned a silver medal in the 4 × 100-meter relay at the 2011 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships.

Tremaine also competed in the 200-meter race at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He finished 5th in his heat during that competition. In 2013, he ran the 200-meter event again at the World Championships in Moscow, finishing 5th in his heat with a time of 20.68 seconds.
