Tremaine Harris, born on February 10, 1992, is a fast Canadian runner. He is a track and field athlete who specializes in sprint races. Tremaine is from Canada but has Jamaican family roots. He can speak both English and French. His best time for the 200-meter race, 20.22 seconds, is one of the fastest ever by a Canadian! His coaches are Anthony McCleary and Desai Williams.

Tremaine's Early Life
Tremaine was born in Toronto, Ontario. As he grew up, he went to different schools in the Greater Toronto Area. He chose these schools to help him focus on his running career. Some of the schools he attended include Father Henry Carr Secondary School and Markham District High School.
Tremaine's Running Career
Tremaine Harris started competing internationally in 2010. His first big race was the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics, where he ran the 400-meter sprint.
Winning Gold Medals
In 2011, Tremaine had a fantastic year. He competed in the Canadian Junior Track and Field Championships. He won gold medals in both the 200-meter and 400-meter events. Even though he was still a junior, he also competed in the main Canadian Track and Field Championships. There, he won another gold medal in the 400-meter race with a time of 46.24 seconds. This made him the first Canadian to win gold in the same event at both the junior and senior championships in the same year!
International Medals and Olympics
Less than a month after his big wins, Tremaine earned his first international medal. He won a silver medal in the 4 × 100-meter relay at the 2011 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. In 2012, Tremaine competed in the 200-meter event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He finished 5th in his heat during the race. He also ran the 200-meter race at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, finishing 5th in his heat.
