Tri-City (sometimes written as Tri City) is a special kind of community in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area that looks like a town but doesn't have its own local government. It's also an unincorporated community.
In 2010, about 3,931 people lived here. The community is located in a flat area near the Umpqua River. It got its name because it's centered between three other cities: Myrtle Creek, Canyonville, and Riddle. The name "Tri-City" likely started with the local school district. Later, the local sewer district and the old Tri City State Airport (which is now called the Myrtle Creek Municipal Airport) also used this name.
