Trient is a small village located in the beautiful mountains of Switzerland. It is a municipality in the Martigny district, found in the canton of Valais. This charming place is known for its stunning natural scenery.

History of Trient
The municipality of Trient was officially created in 1900. Before that, it was part of another area called Martigny-Combe.
Geography of Trient
Trient covers an area of about 39.5 square kilometers (about 15 square miles). A small part of this land, about 12%, is used for farming. A larger part, around 31%, is covered by forests. Only a tiny bit, less than 1%, has buildings or roads. Most of the land, about 55%, is unproductive, meaning it's made up of mountains or rocky areas.
