Troy is a small place in Minnesota, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Troy is located in Saratoga Township, which is part of Winona County.

Where is Troy Located?
This little community is found where State Highway 74 meets Winona County Road 6. A stream called Trout Run Creek flows right through Troy. Other nearby places include St. Charles, Saratoga, Clyde, and Chatfield.

Troy has an interesting past, even though it's a small community.
Early Days and Name
Troy had its own post office for many years, from 1858 until 1905. The people who settled here named the community after a much larger city, Troy, New York.
Masonic Lodge and The Grange
Troy was once home to the Evergreen Masonic Lodge #46. This lodge was officially started in 1864. It shared its meeting place with a local group called the Grange. The Grange is an organization for farmers and their families. In 1898, the Masonic lodge moved about five miles east to a place called Clyde.
