The Tteok Museum is a special place in Seoul, South Korea. It's located in a part of the city called Jongno-gu. This museum is all about tteok, which are delicious Korean rice cakes. It also shows off old Korean kitchen tools.
The museum was started by Yoon Sookja. She is the main director of the Institute of Traditional Korean Food. The Tteok Museum first opened its doors in December 2002.
What is Tteok?
Tteok (pronounced "duck") is a type of Korean rice cake. It's a very popular food in Korean cuisine. People make tteok from different kinds of grain flours. These flours are usually rice or glutinous rice.
