Tuckahoe is a special area in Henrico County, Virginia, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a place with a name and a population, but it's not officially a city or town. Tuckahoe is a busy suburb located west of Richmond.
In 2010, about 44,990 people lived in Tuckahoe. The area gets its name from the historic Tuckahoe Plantation. This old plantation, once owned by Thomas Randolph, still stands along the James River.

Tuckahoe covers a total area of about 56.4 square kilometers (21.8 square miles). Most of this area, about 53.0 square kilometers (20.5 square miles), is land. The remaining 3.4 square kilometers (1.3 square miles) is water.
The western edge of Tuckahoe is formed by Tuckahoe Creek. This creek is a large, natural swampy area. It also helps mark the border between Goochland County and Henrico County.
