Tyler Goodson (born November 10, 2000) is an American professional football player. He plays as a running back for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the Colts, he played college football at Iowa. He also played for the Green Bay Packers.

Early Life and High School Football
Tyler Goodson grew up in Suwanee, Georgia. He went to North Gwinnett High School. During his junior year, he ran for 1,437 yards. He also scored 25 touchdowns.
In his senior year, Goodson continued to excel. He rushed for 1,180 yards and scored another 25 touchdowns. His amazing performance earned him the title of Georgia Player of the Year. He chose to play college football at Iowa.
College Football Career at Iowa
Goodson started his college career at Iowa in 2019. As a freshman, he led the team in rushing. He ran for 638 yards and scored five touchdowns. He also caught 24 passes for 166 yards.
In his second year, Goodson was named first-team All-Big Ten Conference. He rushed for 762 yards and scored seven touchdowns. He carried the ball 143 times that season.
During his junior year, Goodson had an even bigger season. He ran for 1,151 yards and scored six rushing touchdowns. He also caught 31 passes for 247 receiving yards. He scored one receiving touchdown that year.
Professional Football Journey
After college, Tyler Goodson joined the NFL. He first signed with the Green Bay Packers. This happened on May 2, 2022, after the NFL draft. He was a player who was not chosen in the draft but still signed with a team.
Goodson was part of the Packers' practice squad. He was sometimes moved to the main team. He signed a special contract in January 2023 to stay with the team. However, he was later released by the Packers in August 2023.
Joining the Indianapolis Colts
On September 12, 2023, Goodson joined the Indianapolis Colts. He was signed to their practice squad. On December 16, he played in his first NFL game. This was against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In that game, Goodson ran the ball 11 times. He gained 69 yards, helping the Colts win 30–13. He was then moved to the Colts' active roster. The Colts played a close game against the Houston Texans in Week 18. The Colts lost, which ended their chances for the playoffs.
