Tyrone Roberts (born 1 June 1991) is an Australian professional rugby league player. He currently plays for the Burleigh Bears in the Queensland Cup. Tyrone plays as a halfback or five-eighth.
He has played for several top teams. These include the Brisbane Broncos, Newcastle Knights, and Gold Coast Titans in Australia's National Rugby League (NRL). He also played for the Warrington Wolves in the English Super League. Tyrone has represented New South Wales Country and the Indigenous All Stars.

Tyrone's Rugby League Journey
Starting Out: Early Career
Tyrone was noticed by Newcastle Knights coach Rick Stone. He was playing in the Newcastle Rugby League at the time. The Knights then signed him to their team. From 2009 to 2011, he played for the Knights' NYC team. This is a competition for younger players.
Playing for Newcastle Knights (2011-2015)
Tyrone made his first NRL appearance in 2011. This was for the Newcastle Knights against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. He played seven matches in his first year. In 2012, he scored his first NRL try. He also signed a new contract with the Knights. He played 18 games that year.
In 2013, Tyrone played in all 27 of the club's matches. He scored 6 tries and kicked 49 goals. The next year, in 2014, he played in the first ever 2014 NRL Auckland Nines tournament. He scored the very first try of the tournament. He also played for New South Wales Country in a special match.
In 2015, Tyrone played for the Indigenous All Stars team. He also suffered an ankle injury that year. This ended his long run of playing 79 games in a row. After this season, he left the Knights. He signed a two-year contract with the Gold Coast Titans.
Moving to Gold Coast Titans (2016-2017)
In 2016, Tyrone played for the Gold Coast in the 2016 NRL Auckland Nines. He also played for the Indigenous All Stars again. He made his debut for the Gold Coast Titans against his old team, the Knights. Tyrone helped the Gold Coast reach the NRL Finals. This was their first time since 2010.
In October 2017, it was announced that Tyrone would move to England. He signed a three-year deal with the Warrington Wolves.
Time in England: Warrington Wolves (2018)
In 2018, Tyrone played in two big finals for the Warrington Wolves. He played in the 2018 Challenge Cup Final. His team lost to the Catalans Dragons. He also played in the 2018 Super League Grand Final. His team lost to the Wigan Warriors.
After just one season, Tyrone wanted to return to Australia. He wanted to be with his young family. He was allowed to leave the Warrington Wolves. He signed a two-year deal to return to the Gold Coast Titans.
Back with Gold Coast Titans (2019-2020)
In 2019, Tyrone played 15 games for the Gold Coast Titans. He also played halfback for the Indigenous All Stars. His team won against the Maori All Stars.
In 2020, Tyrone played only 3 games for the Gold Coast. After this season, he left the club.
Later Career (2022-Present)
In 2022, Tyrone joined the Brisbane Broncos. He got a chance to play for them in Round 1. This was because many players were unavailable. He helped the Broncos win an unexpected victory. He played a second game later in the season.
Tyrone then played the rest of 2022 with the Norths Devils in the Queensland Cup. He helped them win their second championship in a row. In 2023, Tyrone joined the Burleigh Bears. He played for them in the Queensland Cup Grand Final. His team lost to the Brisbane Tigers.
