UK Top 40 was a super popular TV show on the CBBC channel. It aired on Sundays at 6 PM, from 2002 to 2005. The show was all about the biggest songs in the UK! It would count down the top 40 singles, which are the most bought and streamed songs each week.
The show started in 2002 with two awesome presenters: Konnie Huq and Adrian Dickson. It was a huge hit right away!

The Show's Journey
After two successful series, Konnie and Adrian decided to leave the show. Many people wondered what would happen next. But in 2004, it was announced that Andrew Hayden-Smith would take over as the new presenter for the third series.
Series 1: Fun and Games (2002–2003)
The first series of UK Top 40 was presented by Konnie and Adrian. It was packed with fun! They had special guests, exciting competitions, and cool games. Of course, the main part was counting down the top 40 songs in the UK.
Special: Christmas Viewers' Vote (2002)
This was a special show where CBBC viewers got to pick their favorite songs of the year! Adrian Dickson hosted it, and Konnie Huq even sent in a report. This special aired on Boxing Day (December 26th) on BBC One.

Series 2: Shorter but Sweet (2003–2004)
For the second series, the show became a bit shorter, only 30 minutes long. It didn't have as many games, but it still had a weekly competition. Plus, a celebrity guest would often perform live!
Special: New Year Viewers' Vote (2004)
Another special where CBBC viewers voted for their favorite songs! This one was hosted by Konnie Huq and featured Andrew Hayden-Smith as a guest presenter. Adrian couldn't make it this time. This special aired on New Year's Day on BBC One.
