Ulrikke was born in Skjeberg, a part of Sarpsborg, Norway. She is the youngest of three children. Her parents are Jørn and Vigdis Brandstorp.

Ulrikke's musical journey began early. When she was just eight years old, she won a local singing competition. She also joined the Villekula youth theatre in her home area of Østfold. There, she acted in local plays like Pippi Longstocking and Reisen til julestjernen (The Journey to the Christmas Star). From 2011 to 2013, Ulrikke toured Norway with shows like The Show Must Go On and The Thrill of Michael Jackson.

In 2013, Ulrikke took part in the seventh season of Idol, a singing competition. She made it to the semi-finals. Later, in 2015, she competed in the third season of The Voice – Norges beste stemme, but was eliminated in the battle rounds.

Ulrikke became a household name in Norway in 2018. She finished second in Stjernekamp [no], another popular TV show. She has also appeared in four seasons of Allsang på Grensen, a music show. In 2019, she famously sang "Shallow" with Ben Adams on the show.

In 2020, Ulrikke won the first season of Maskorama, which is the Norwegian version of The Masked Singer. She performed as "Troll" and won the competition on December 12. In 2021, she also finished eighth in the second season of Kompani Lauritzen [no], a military-style reality show.

Ulrikke has competed in Melodi Grand Prix (MGP) several times. MGP is the Norwegian competition to choose the country's song for the Eurovision Song Contest.

• 2017: She first competed in 2017 with her song "Places." She finished fourth in the final.
• 2020: She returned to MGP in 2020 with the song "Attention." She was a favorite to win and was chosen to represent Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam. However, the contest was canceled on March 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ulrikke was offered a direct spot in the MGP 2021 final, but she declined. She wanted to find the perfect song for a future return. She did return as a guest in the 2021 final, performing a new version of "Attention" and her song "Falling Apart."
• 2023: Ulrikke competed in MGP for a third time in 2023 with her song "Honestly." She qualified from the first semi-final and finished second in the final on February 4.

Ulrikke is also a talented actress.

• In 2019, she played Liesl von Trapp in the Norwegian production of The Sound of Music. This musical was performed at Folketeateret in Oslo.
• In 2021, she was cast as Sophie Sheridan in the Norwegian production of Mamma Mia!, also at Folketeateret.

Ulrikke's Personal Life

Ulrikke Brandstorp has been in a relationship with Oskar Nordberg since April 2020. She even wrote the song "Love You to Love Me" to express her feelings for him. The couple got engaged in May 2022 and married in June 2024. Their first child, a son, was born in April 2025.
