Ulrikke Brandstorp (born 13 July 1995) is a talented Norwegian singer, songwriter, and actress. She is also known simply as Ulrikke. She has appeared in many TV shows and musicals.

Ulrikke's Early Life and Start

Ulrikke Brandstorp was born on 13 July 1995 in Skjeberg, a part of Sarpsborg, Norway. She was the youngest of three children.

Her musical journey began early. When she was eight, she won a local singing contest. She also joined the Villekula youth theatre in her home area of Østfold. There, she acted in plays like Pippi Longstocking.

From 2011 to 2013, Ulrikke toured Norway. She performed in shows like The Show Must Go On and The Thrill of Michael Jackson.

Ulrikke's Career Highlights

Ulrikke first became known across Norway in 2013. She took part in the TV singing competition Idol. She made it to the semi-finals, showing off her amazing voice.

In 2015, she competed in The Voice – Norges beste stemme. Later, in 2018, she became very popular in Norway. She finished second in Stjernekamp [no], another big music show.

Ulrikke has also been on Allsang på Grensen four times. In 2019, she sang "Shallow" with Ben Adams, which was a big hit.

In 2020, she won Maskorama, the Norwegian version of The Masked Singer. She performed as "Troll" and won the show on 12 December. She also competed in Kompani Lauritzen [no] in 2021, finishing eighth.

Ulrikke has tried to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest several times.

  • 2017: She first entered Melodi Grand Prix with her song "Places". She finished fourth in the final.
  • 2020: She returned with the song "Attention". She was a favorite to win, and she did! This meant she would represent Norway at Eurovision Song Contest 2020. However, the contest was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ulrikke was offered a direct spot in the 2021 final, but she wanted to find the perfect song. She did return as a guest, performing "Attention" and her song "Falling Apart".
  • 2023: Ulrikke competed for a third time with "Honestly". She made it to the final and finished in second place.

Ulrikke's Acting Roles

Besides singing, Ulrikke is also a talented actress.

  • 2019: She played Liesl von Trapp in the Norwegian version of The Sound of Music. This musical was performed in Folketeateret in Oslo.
  • 2021: She starred as Sophie Sheridan in the Norwegian production of Mamma Mia!, also at Folketeateret.
  • 2021: Ulrikke also became the Norwegian voice of Mirabel Madrigal in the Disney movie Encanto.

Ulrikke on Television

Ulrikke has also become a TV presenter. On 11 April 2023, it was announced that she would host Bakemesterskapet. This is a baking competition show based on The Great British Bake Off. It will start on NRK in early 2024.

She also competed in Skal vi danse in 2023. This is the Norwegian version of Dancing with the Stars. She danced with Tarjei Svalastog and they finished in third place. They were very close to making it to the final!

Ulrikke's Personal Life

Ulrikke Brandstorp has been with Oskar Nordberg since April 2020. She even wrote a song called "Love You to Love Me" for him. They got engaged in May 2022 and were married in June 2024.
