Ben Adams is a British singer and songwriter. He was born on November 22, 1981, in Ascot, England. Ben is famous for being the lead singer of the boy band A1. He also represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. He performed with the pop band Subwoolfer that year.
Early Life and School
Ben Adams grew up in Ascot. He went to Westminster Under School. There, he was the main singer in the school choir. Later, he attended Bedales School. He left school at 16 after finishing his GCSEs. Then, he joined Charterhouse School.
Ben's Music Career
A1: A Boy Band Journey
Ben Adams was part of a four-member boy band called a1. The band became very popular. In 2001, they won a Brit Award for Best Newcomer. They also had two songs reach number one on the UK singles chart. These songs were "Take On Me" and "Same Old Brand New You". "Take On Me" was originally a hit song by the Norwegian band a-ha. The band a1 broke up in 2002.
A1 Gets Back Together
In 2009, a1 announced they would get back together. They wanted to try to represent Norway in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. After this, a1 signed a new deal with Universal Music Group. They released two more albums. These albums were "Waiting For Daylight" and "Rediscovered". Ben helped write and produce these albums. In 2013, a1 joined a TV show called The Big Reunion. In 2018, the band celebrated their 20th anniversary. They went on an international tour.
Ben's Solo Music and Songwriting
After a few years of writing songs, Ben Adams started his solo career. He signed a new record deal with BMG Records. His first solo song was "Sorry". It reached number 18 on the UK singles chart in June 2005.
Writing Songs for Other Artists
Ben also started writing and producing songs for many other singers. Some of these artists include Robin Thicke, Craig David, JLS, and Alexandra Burke. He even co-wrote a song called "Electric" for Lisa Scott-Lee. Ben has his own recording studio in London. It is called Archer Studios.

In 2021, Ben Adams joined the pop band Subwoolfer. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. He performed with Gaute Ormåsen. They sang the song "Give That Wolf a Banana". They finished in 10th place in the grand final.
