Unterallgäu is a special area, like a county, in the southwest part of Bavaria, Germany. It's known for its countryside and beautiful nature. This district is located in a region called Swabia.
Unterallgäu shares its borders with several other districts. These include Neu-Ulm (district), Günzburg (district), Augsburg (district), Ostallgäu, and Oberallgäu. It also borders two districts in the nearby state of Baden-Württemberg: Ravensburg (district) and Biberach (district). To the west, you'll find the city of Memmingen, which is a "district-free city," meaning it governs itself and isn't part of any district.
The main town and capital of Unterallgäu is Mindelheim. This is where the district's main offices are located.
