The Upper Cascades is a beautiful waterfall found in North Central North Carolina. It is located inside Hanging Rock State Park in Stokes County. This natural wonder is a great spot to visit and enjoy nature.
About the Upper Cascades Waterfall
The water that forms Upper Cascades comes from a stream called Cascades Creek. This creek flows right through Hanging Rock State Park. The waterfall itself is a "cascade," which means the water flows over a steep, rocky slope rather than dropping straight down.
After flowing over the Upper Cascades, the water continues its journey down Cascades Creek. It eventually reaches another waterfall called Lower Cascades. It's like the creek has two amazing stops along its path!
