What Does the Vashti Sphinx Look Like?

Vashti sphinx moths can look quite different from one another. Their size and patterns can vary a lot. The front wings, called forewings, can be light gray or very dark gray. They often have lighter gray areas near the wing's front edge, at the tip, and along the outer border.

These forewings also have black marks. A series of black dashes usually ends with one reaching the wing tip. The back wings, called hindwings, are black with white stripes.
