Verdemont, also known as Verdemont Heights, is a neighborhood in the northern part of San Bernardino, California. It is located in the foothills, which are low hills at the base of mountains. This area is home to the Western Region Little League headquarters. Verdemont is known as one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. Many beautiful and expensive homes are found here.

Where is Verdemont Located?
Verdemont is about 10 miles (16 km) north of downtown San Bernardino. It is part of San Bernardino County, California. The neighborhood sits at an elevation between 1,921 and 2,500 feet (585 to 762 meters). Verdemont is in the Pacific Time Zone. This means it is 8 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-8). During summer, it switches to Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7).
Verdemont is also part of the Inland Empire Metropolitan Area. This is a large urban area in California. It is the third largest in the state. The area is mostly made up of desert plants and shrubs. Verdemont has many hills but not a lot of trees.

How to Get Around Verdemont
Verdemont is part of the Omnitrans public transportation system. This system helps people travel around the city. The San Bernardino Express (sbX) is a special bus system. It starts in Verdemont and goes south. It travels through downtown San Bernardino. It also goes to the Hospitality Lane area. The bus line ends in Loma Linda.
Learning and Schools in Verdemont
Verdemont is part of the San Bernardino City Unified School District. This district manages the local schools. The neighborhood is about 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of California State University, San Bernardino. This university is known as a top school.

Little League Baseball Headquarters
Verdemont is famous for its connection to Little League baseball. The Al Houghton Stadium is here. This is also where the Western Regional Little League headquarters are located. These are in the northern part of Verdemont.
Every year, during the first two weeks of August, Verdemont hosts big events. It welcomes teams from eleven western states. These teams compete in the West and Northwest regional tournaments. During this time, Verdemont gets a lot of attention from the media.
