Where is Verdunville?
Verdunville is located in the western-central part of Logan County. It sits in a valley near a stream called Mud Fork. Mud Fork flows east and joins Island Creek, which then flows into the Guyandotte River. All these waterways are part of the larger Guyandotte River watershed. A watershed is an area of land where all the water drains into a common river or lake.
A road called Mud Fork Road goes through the valley. It connects Verdunville and Shegon to Mount Gay in the east and eventually leads to Dingess in Mingo County. A large highway, U.S. Route 119, is on the eastern side of Verdunville. You can get to it from an exit with West Virginia Route 73.
