Veronika Remišová (born May 31, 1976) is a politician from Slovakia. She has held important jobs in the Slovak government. She served as a Deputy Prime Minister and a Minister.
In 2016, she became a member of the Slovak Parliament, called the National Council. She was part of the Ordinary People political party. Later, she joined a different party called For the People. In the 2023 election, she was again elected to the National Council.

Early Life and Education
Veronika Remišová studied at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in France. There, she earned a special diploma called a DEA. She also received a certificate in coaching from the University of Cambridge.
Before becoming a politician, Remišová worked for the European Commission. This is an important part of the European Union. She worked in Luxembourg, helping to manage programs for young people and education.
Political Journey
Veronika Remišová started her political career in local elections. In 2014, she ran for a position in the Slovak municipal elections. She was a member of the Ordinary People party at that time.
Joining the National Council
In the 2016 Slovak parliamentary election, Remišová was a top candidate for her party. She received many votes from the public. This helped her become a member of the National Council. The National Council is like the parliament or congress in other countries.
Leading a New Party
In 2019, Remišová decided to join a new political party. This party was called For the People. It was started by Andrej Kiska, who was a former president of Slovakia.
In the 2020 Slovak parliamentary election, she ran as a candidate for the For the People party. She continued to be a very popular figure within the party. After the election, Remišová became the leader of the For the People party. She wanted the party to be a modern, central party in Slovakia.
Serving as Deputy Prime Minister
Veronika Remišová held important roles in the Slovak government. She served as a Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia. She was also the Minister of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization. This job involved looking after new projects, developing different parts of the country, and improving how the government uses technology.
