Veronika Remišová (born on May 31, 1976) is a politician from Slovakia. She has held important roles in the Slovak government. She served as a Deputy Prime Minister and also as a Minister. Her work focused on investments, regional development, and making information technology better for everyone.
In 2016, she became a member of the National Council. This is like the parliament or main law-making body in Slovakia. She was first part of a political group called Ordinary People. Later, in 2019, she joined a different political party named For the People.
In the 2023 elections, Veronika Remišová was again chosen to be a member of the National Council. She ran as the leader of the For the People party.

Early Life and Education
Veronika Remišová studied at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in France. There, she earned a special diploma called a DEA. She also received a certificate in coaching from the University of Cambridge.
After her studies, she worked for the European Commission in Luxembourg. This is a big organization that helps European countries work together. She was part of the translation department. She also helped manage a European program for young people and education.
Political Career Highlights
Veronika Remišová started her political journey in local elections. In 2014, she ran in the Slovak municipal elections. She received 507 votes as a member of the OĽANO party. Later that year, she also tried to become a member of the European Parliament, but she was not elected.
Joining the National Council
In the 2016 Slovak parliamentary election, Veronika Remišová was a top candidate for the OĽANO party. She received many votes, coming in third place for her party. This helped her become a member of the National Council.
Leading a New Party
For the 2020 Slovak parliamentary election, Remišová ran as a candidate for the For the People party. She was a very popular candidate, receiving 81,395 votes. She was seen as a key leader for the party.
After the elections, Remišová shared her goals. She wanted the For the People party to be a modern and central party in Europe. She believed there was a need for such a choice in Slovak politics.
