Vicky & Vetaal is a fun Indian TV show. It's a supernatural comedy sitcom that first aired on Disney Channel India. The show is a bit like the American series Phil of the Future.
Cinevistaas Limited produced the series. It started on October 7, 2006. This was Disney Channel India's first big original show. It was also Disney's first live-action show made in Hindi in India. Vicky & Vetaal was the first of five local shows planned by Disney. Other shows that followed included Dhoom Machaao Dhoom and Agadam Bagdam Tigdam.
The first season starred Dev Kantawala as Vicky and Vishal Malhotra as Vetaal. A second season of the show came out on Disney Channel on November 15, 2015. It featured a different cast.
The show gets its ideas from the Baital Pachisi stories. These are old tales about a king named Vikram and a Vetala. A Vetala is a huge, vampire-like creature.

What's the Show About?
Season 1 Story
The main characters are Vicky and Vetaal. Vicky (played by Dev Kantawala) is a smart and brave sixth-grade boy. Vetaal (played by Vishal Malhotra) is a friendly but silly ghost. Only Vicky can see Vetaal.
Vicky accidentally set Vetaal free. Vetaal had been hanging from a tree at a school for 300 years! After this, Vicky and Vetaal were stuck together. They had to go everywhere as a pair. They were also joined by "Paddu," Vetaal's living magic book.
Most episodes show funny problems in Vicky's life. Vetaal tries to help, but his brave and silly attempts often cause more trouble for Vicky. This season was a big favorite among kids on Disney Channel.
Season 2 Story
In the second season, Vicky and his family move to a new house. Vicky and his grandma Gomti are sad to leave their friends. Then, they meet Vetaal, the 300-year-old ghost. They also meet Paddu, his 1000-year-old book of spells.
Vicky and Gomti realize they are the only ones who can see Vetaal and Paddu. They also learn that this new house has been Vetaal and Paddu's home for many years. After some confusion and spooky moments, they all become friends. They are excited to live together in one house.
