Vladimir Iosifovich Resin (Russian: Влади́мир Ио́сифович Ре́син) is a Russian politician. He was born on February 21, 1936. He served as the acting Mayor of Moscow for a short time. This happened when Russian president Dmitry Medvedev appointed him on September 28, 2010. Before this, Resin was the first deputy mayor under the previous mayor, Yury Luzhkov.

Vladimir Resin's Early Life and Career
Vladimir Resin was born in Minsk on February 21, 1936. His family was Jewish. He went to the Moscow Mining Institute. He finished his studies there in 1958.
Working in Construction and Mining
After college, Resin worked in the construction and mining industries. These jobs helped him gain experience in building and development.
Joining Moscow City Government
In 1988, he started working for the Moscow city government. He became the head of architecture and construction. This role meant he was in charge of how buildings were designed and built in the city.
