Víctor Antonio Drija Vivas (born January 16, 1985) is an actor, singer, and dancer from Venezuela. He is most famous for playing the character Victor in the TV show Somos tú y yo, which was shown on Boomerang Latin America.

Early life and Dance

Víctor Drija was born in Caracas, Venezuela. His parents, Anita Vivas and Antonio Drija, are both well-known dancers and choreographers. His brother, George Akram, is also a dancer and actor on Broadway.

Víctor took many dance classes. He learned from famous Hip Hop dancers like Kehynde Hill, Dave Scott, and Shane Sparks.

Early TV Shows and Performances

Víctor first appeared on TV in children's shows like Video Time and Ruta de las Mañanas on RCTV. He also appeared on Rugemanía on Venevisión. His amazing dance skills quickly got him noticed. He performed at many events, including the Premios Ronda and Chica 2001.

In 2000, he traveled to the United States. He performed in events like Nuestra Navidad and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2002. Víctor also performed in stage shows such as Celebremos La Vida. He danced with famous artists like Gloria Estefan and Shakira.

Starring in Somos tú y yo

In 2007, Víctor Drija got his first main role on TV. He played Víctor Gómez in the show Somos tú y yo. This show was made by Boomerang and Venevisión together. It was shown in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The show first aired in Venezuela on June 27, 2007. It started on Boomerang in Latin America and Europe on January 15, 2008. The series ended on December 15, 2008. Its last episode was watched by about 9.8 million people!

In 2008, the cast of Somos tú y yo went on a tour in Venezuela. They performed songs from the show. After the show ended in 2009, an album with ten songs from the series was released. It was called Somos tú y yo: un nuevo día. Víctor also helped create the dances for the second and third seasons of the show. He also helped create the look and dances for other artists and big events like Miss Venezuela.

In January 2009, Víctor starred in a new TV show called Somos tú y yo: un nuevo día. This show was a new story based on Somos tú y yo. It was also inspired by the American movie Grease. Boomerang started showing it on August 17, 2009.

In January 2010, he played Victor again in the series NPS: No puede ser. This was another show based on Somos tú y yo. It was the final part of the series.

In 2011, Víctor played Gerardo Moncada in the TV show Natalia del mar. His character was a singer-songwriter. He performed many songs in the show.

Solo Music Career

In 2010, Víctor Drija shared that he would release his first album as a solo artist. It was called "Pasado, presente, futuro". He said the album would mostly be dance with some hip hop influences. The first song from the album, "1, 2, 3", was available to download online on August 20. In November 2010, he released the music video for his second song, "Este amor".

In March 2011, Víctor performed before the famous Colombian singer Shakira. This was at the Poliedro de Caracas in Venezuela. In November 2011, he won an award for his work at the Festival Internacional de la Orquídea in Maracaibo.

In 2012, he released "Amanecer", the first song from his second album, "Romance Dance". He also released an English version called "Sunrise Sunset". For his music, he was nominated for three awards at the Premios Pepsi Music Venezuela. These nominations were for Pop Artist of the Year, Best Pop Video, and Refreshing Artist. In November 2013, he released his second song, "De ti no me voy a olvidar".

In May 2014, Víctor Drija toured the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, and Chile. He appeared on TV shows like Showbizz on CNN en Español. In April 2014, he performed at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami. In November 2014, he released the song "Única". Its music video came out on November 13, 2014.

In 2015, he sang on the song "Te quiero así" by the band Siete Bonchones. He also sang on "Cantemos" by Cáceres, along with other artists. In March 2015, Drija released "Mia" with singer Samy Hawk. In May 2015, he won the award for Best Andean Region Artist at the Heat Latin Music Awards. In January 2016, he released his last song, "Tu caballero". In August 2016, he shared "Beber", the first song from his third album.

In March 2018, Víctor Drija released his new song, "Un poquito más".

Personal Life

Víctor Drija has been with Blanca Aljibes for a long time. She was Miss Venezuela International in 2011. They met at a beauty pageant in 2012. In February 2017, they announced they were getting married. They did this in the music video for his song "I Love You". The video showed him proposing to her in front of his friends and family. They got married on September 1st. On July 2, 2020, they welcomed their first child, Liam Michael Drija Aljibes.
