Wûnseradiel was a special place in the northern Netherlands. It was a "municipality," which is like a local government area. It was located in the Friesland province.

The official name, Wûnseradiel, is in the West Frisian language. This is a language spoken in Friesland. In Dutch, the language of the Netherlands, it was known as Wonseradeel.

Wûnseradiel was located at the eastern end of the Afsluitdijk. This is a very long dam that connects two parts of the Netherlands.

In 2011, Wûnseradiel joined with four other municipalities. These were Bolsward, Nijefurd, Sneek, and Wymbritseradiel. Together, they formed a new, larger municipality called Súdwest-Fryslân.
