Walid Mostafa (born Walid Mostafa Hasan) was an Egyptian businessman who worked in media. He was born on January 15, 1972, and passed away on May 3, 2025. He was known for leading NRJ Egypt, a popular radio station that played music and news.

Walid Mostafa also started the Youm7 newspaper in 2007. Later, in 2011, he founded the Al-Nahar television channel. He was involved in many areas of media, including TV, radio, and newspapers. He also worked in marketing and advertising.

Mostafa was a member of several important groups. These included the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) and the International Advertising Association (IAA). He was also part of the Egyptian Public Relation Association (EPRA) and the Journalist Association.

Early Life and Education

Walid Mostafa was born in Giza, Egypt, on January 15, 1972. He learned at home until he started high school. Then, he got to study abroad through a student exchange program. This program was between Egypt and the United States.

He spent his last two years of high school at Benjamin High School in Florida. After high school, Mostafa studied pharmacy at Cairo University. He then earned a special diploma (DPS) from the American University in Cairo.

Family Life

Walid Mostafa Hasan was the only son of Mostafa Hasan. His father was an important advisor to the President's National Councils. Walid Mostafa had two daughters. His first daughter, Amina, was from his first marriage. His second daughter, Tala, was with his second wife.

His second wife was the Lebanese singer Carole Samaha. They got married in Cyprus in 2013.

Career in Media

Walid Mostafa had a long and successful career in the media world. He started as a marketing manager at Arab Egyptian Studios Company Platouh. He worked there from 1996 to 1998. After that, he became the director of sales and marketing at Promoters Company. This was from 1998 to 2000.

From 2000 to 2011, he was a managing director and partner at High Class Media. He also worked with Elite magazine during this time. He was also a managing director and partner at Nile PR Company from 2000 to 2011. He helped produce many TV shows and drama series. One example is the TV series Adam in 2007, which starred Tamer Hosny.

NRJ Egypt Radio

Mostafa was the chairman of Sky Media Production. This company owns NRJ Egypt. NRJ Egypt is a new kind of radio broadcasting in Egypt. It is made for young people. It is the Arabic version of NRJ International.
