You can see Walker Falls right from the side of the road! It's a great spot for a quick visit. Here's how to get there:
Directions from Barnardsville
If you start from the town of Barnardsville, find the intersection of NC 197 and Dillingham Road.

- Take the left fork. Continue for 2.7 miles.
- The road will then turn into gravel and become Forest Road 74.
- Drive 2.8 miles more, and you will see a small sliding waterfall.
- Keep going for another 1.3 miles, and you will arrive at Walker Falls!
- If you want to explore more, you can drive 4.7 miles further down Forest Road 74 to find the parking area for Douglas Falls.
Directions from the Blue Ridge Parkway
You can also reach the falls from the famous Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Look for Forest Road 63. Make sure it's open and not gated.

- Turn right onto Dillingham Road.
