Walter Charles Williams was born on September 8, 1977. He is a former American football player. Walter played as a running back, which is a player who carries the ball. He played for two seasons with the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL). The NFL is the top professional football league in the United States.
Walter went to Grambling State University for college football. He also played high school football at Brusly High School in Brusly, Louisiana. During his career, Walter was part of several other NFL teams. These included the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and Oakland Raiders. He also played for the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe. A big moment for Walter was winning Super Bowl XXXVI with the New England Patriots.

Walter Williams had an interesting journey playing professional football. He played for several teams and even went overseas to play.
Playing for the Patriots
Walter first joined the New England Patriots in 2001. Unfortunately, he got hurt and was placed on injured reserve. This means he couldn't play with the team for a while because of his injury. Even though he was injured, he was still part of the Patriots team that won Super Bowl XXXVI. This is a huge championship game in American football. Walter later left the Patriots in 2002.
Time with the Saints
In 2003, Walter signed with the New Orleans Saints. He was with the team for a short time before being released later that year.
Playing for the Packers and Rhein Fire
Walter joined the Green Bay Packers in 2004. While with the Packers, he also got the chance to play for the Rhein Fire. The Rhein Fire was a team in NFL Europe, which was a league that helped players get more experience. After playing in Europe, Walter returned to the Packers. He was on their practice squad for a bit, which is a group of players who train with the team. He later joined the main roster. Walter played for the Packers through the 2005 season.
With the Raiders
In 2006, Walter signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders. He was with the Raiders for a few months before his time with the team ended.
