Wattsburg is a small town, also called a borough, located in Erie County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. In 2020, about 352 people lived there. Wattsburg is part of the larger Erie area.

Wattsburg's History

Wattsburg became an official borough in 1833. A long time ago, it was a very busy place for stagecoaches. Stagecoaches were like old-fashioned buses pulled by horses, carrying people and mail between towns.

Where is Wattsburg?

Wattsburg is in the eastern part of Erie County. It's surrounded by Venango Township to the west, north, and east. To the south, you'll find Amity Township. The border with New York state is only about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) to the east.

The borough covers a total area of about 0.31 square miles (0.8 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, but a small part, about 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometers), is water. Wattsburg is where the main part of French Creek meets its West Branch. All the water in Wattsburg flows into the Allegheny River.
