Wayne Walter Dyer (May 10, 1940 – August 29, 2015) was an American author and motivational speaker. He wrote books that helped people improve their lives. Dyer earned a special degree in counseling from Wayne State University.

He started his career as a high school counselor. Later, he taught at St. John's University. A literary agent encouraged him to write down his ideas. This led to his first book, Your Erroneous Zones (1976). This book became one of the best-selling books ever.

This success made Dyer a famous speaker and author. He wrote over 20 more best-selling books. He also made popular TV shows for PBS. His early work focused on how people can be motivated and reach their full potential. Later, his focus shifted to spirituality. He talked about the "power of intention" and worked with other spiritual leaders. He was also a frequent guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Wayne Dyer's Death

Wayne Dyer passed away on August 30, 2015. He was 75 years old. He died from a heart attack in Maui, Hawaii. He had been diagnosed with leukemia in 2009.
