Waynesville is a small village located in Warren County, Ohio, United States. In 2020, about 2,669 people lived there. The village is named after General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, a famous American soldier.
Waynesville is known for its many antique shops. It also hosts a popular annual sauerkraut festival. The village is found where two main roads, U.S. Route 42 and State Route 73, meet. Just 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Waynesville, you can find Caesar Creek State Park, a great place for outdoor activities.
The village has a public library called the Mary L. Cook Public Library. In 2005, this library had over 67,000 books and magazines. It loaned out more than 203,000 items to its 8,000 members.

The Little Miami River is the only river that flows through the village of Waynesville.
History of Waynesville
Waynesville was first planned out in the year 1796. It was given its name to honor General “Mad” Anthony Wayne. Many of the first people to build up Waynesville were Quakers, a religious group. A post office has been open in Waynesville since 1804, helping people send and receive mail for a very long time.
