Weldon is a small city located in the state of Iowa, USA. It's unique because it sits across two different counties: Clarke and Decatur. In 2020, about 136 people lived there.
Weldon's History
Weldon began in 1880. This was after a railroad called the Humeston and Shenandoah Railroad was built through the area. Trains were very important for travel and trade back then.
A special building called the Weldon Depot was used from 1881 to 1946. This depot was a train station where people could get on and off trains. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. This means it's an important historical site.

In 2020, a count of the population was done. This count showed that 136 people lived in Weldon. There were 52 households, which means 52 homes where people lived. Out of these, 33 were families.
