The Wells Fargo Center is a very tall office building in downtown Sacramento, California. It stands about 129 meters (423 feet) high. This makes it the tallest building in the entire city.
Construction on this amazing skyscraper started in 1990. It was finished just two years later, in 1992. The building takes up a large city block. Inside, it has a beautiful five-story area. This area is made with granite and marble walls. It is covered by a clear glass atrium, which is a big open space with a glass roof.
The project was created by William Wilson & Associates. They worked with Crocker Properties to build it. The main architect was a company called Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum, also known as HOK.
You can find a special museum inside the building. It's called the Wells Fargo History Museum. This museum tells the story of Wells Fargo Bank in the Sacramento area. It is located right in the lobby on the ground floor.
