Wendell Edward Young (born August 1, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goalie. He is famous for being the only player in hockey history to win four major championships, often called "cups." Because of this amazing achievement, he earned the nickname "Ringmaster." Today, he helps lead the Chicago Wolves team in the American Hockey League as their vice chairman and governor.
On December 1, 2001, the Chicago Wolves honored Wendell by retiring his Jersey #1. This means no other player on the team will wear that number again. All four of the cups he won were there to celebrate his incredible achievements. This was the first time the Chicago Wolves had retired a player's number since the team started in 1994.
