Wendy Jane Crewson (born May 9, 1956) is a talented Canadian actress and producer. She started her acting journey on Canadian television. Her big break came in 1991 with the movie The Doctor.
Wendy Crewson has acted in many popular Hollywood movies. You might know her from The Santa Clause (1994) and its sequels, The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006). She also appeared in Air Force One (1997) and Bicentennial Man (1999). She has also been in independent films like Room (2015).
She has won several awards for her TV work, including six Gemini Awards and two Canadian Screen Awards. Wendy Crewson has played main characters in many TV movies. She was also in popular TV shows like 24, Revenge, and Frankie Drake Mysteries. From 2012 to 2017, she was a star in the medical drama Saving Hope.

Early Life and Training
Wendy Crewson was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are June Doreen and Robert Binnie Crewson. She went to John Rennie High School in Pointe Claire, Québec.
After high school, she studied at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. There, she won an award for her excellent work in theater. She then continued her acting studies in London, England, at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
Acting Career Highlights
When Wendy Crewson returned to Canada, she quickly got a main role. This was in the TV movie War Brides (1980). She was even nominated for an ACTRA Award for this role. From 1980 to 1983, she starred in the CBC drama series Home Fires. This show was about a family in Toronto during World War II. She won an ACTRA Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 1984. In 1982, she made her first American TV appearance with Tom Hanks in Mazes and Monsters.
During the 1980s, Wendy Crewson appeared in many Canadian TV shows. She had recurring roles in Night Heat and Street Legal. She also starred in a few American drama series. In 1991, she had a big role in the American movie The Doctor.
In 1993, she starred in the thriller The Good Son. The next year, she was in Corrina, Corrina with Whoopi Goldberg. Also in 1994, Wendy Crewson joined Tim Allen in the hit Christmas movie The Santa Clause. This movie was very successful. She returned for the sequels, The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006).
In 1997, she played Grace Marshall, the First Lady, in the action movie Air Force One. Harrison Ford played the President. She also starred with Robin Williams in the science fiction film Bicentennial Man (1999). In 2000, she played Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife in The 6th Day. She also appeared in What Lies Beneath. Other notable films include Eight Below (2006) and the Oscar-nominated Away from Her (2006).

In 2003, Crewson had a recurring role as Dr. Anne Packard in the TV series 24. From 2007 to 2008, she was a main character in the Canadian science-fiction series ReGenesis. Wendy Crewson married actor Michael Murphy in 1988. They have two children together. They divorced in 2009 but have remained friends. They even worked together on the film Fall (2014).
She lives in Rosedale, Toronto.
