West Havre is a small community in Hill County, Montana, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area that the government counts for population, but it is not officially a city or town.
In 2020, about 290 people lived in West Havre. This number was 316 in 2010 and 284 in 2000.

Geography of West Havre
West Havre is located in the eastern part of Hill County. It is right next to the city of Havre on its east side. To the west, you will find the area of Herron.
Major Roads and Highways
U.S. Route 2 runs along the northern edge of West Havre. This highway goes east into Havre. If you go west on US 2, you will reach Shelby after about 100 miles (160 kilometers).
U.S. Route 87 starts at US 2 in the northwest part of West Havre. This route goes southwest for about 110 miles (177 kilometers) to Great Falls.

The United States Census Bureau says that West Havre covers a total area of about 1.9 square miles (4.9 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water.
