A Look Back: West Leipsic's History
West Leipsic has an interesting past! When the village was first planned out in 1852, it was simply called "Leipsic." Back then, the nearby village we know today as Leipsic was actually named "Roanoke."
Over time, the names changed. West Leipsic officially became its own village in 1882. This means it gained the right to govern itself.
