West Line is a small village located in Cass County, Missouri. It is part of the larger Kansas City metropolitan area. In 2010, about 97 people lived there. By 2020, the population had grown to 117 people.

History of West Line
West Line was first planned out in 1870. It was originally called "State Line." This name was chosen because the village is very close to the western border of both Cass County and the state of Missouri.
A post office was opened in 1871, also called State Line. A few years later, in 1875, its name was changed to West Line. The post office served the community for many years before closing in 1973.

West Line is a small village. According to official records, the village covers a total area of about 0.45 square miles (1.18 square kilometers). All of this area is land, meaning there are no large lakes or rivers within the village limits.

What the 2010 Census Showed
In 2010, a count of the population, called a census, showed that 97 people lived in West Line. These people lived in 37 different homes. Most of these homes (28) were families.
The village had 39 housing units in total. Most of the people living in West Line were White. A small number of people were from two or more racial backgrounds. About 2% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
Many homes (43.2%) had children under 18 living there. More than half of the homes (54.1%) were married couples living together. Some homes had a single parent, either a mother or a father.
The average age of people in West Line was about 43 years old. About 27% of the residents were under 18 years old. About 9% of the people were 65 years old or older. The population was almost evenly split between males (51.5%) and females (48.5%).
