Westport is a small community in Lincoln County, North Carolina, in the United States. It's called a "census-designated place" (CDP) because the government counts its population separately. In 2010, about 4,026 people lived there. This was a big jump from 2000, when only 2,006 people lived there! Westport got its name because it's located on the western side of Lake Norman.
