Where is Westport?
Westport is found in the middle of the town of Westport. It sits right where Hoisington Brook flows into North West Bay, which is part of Lake Champlain. The community stretches along the lake's shore. On its western side, you'll find the Delaware and Hudson Railway line and Hammond Brook.
Getting Around Westport
Two main roads, Route 9N and Route 22, meet in the center of Westport.
- Route 9N goes west about 4 miles to Interstate 87. It also leads 8 miles to Elizabethtown.
- Route 22 goes north about 15 miles to Willsboro.
- If you take both Route 9N and Route 22 together, they lead south about 10 miles to Port Henry. They continue on for about 26 miles to Ticonderoga.
- Plattsburgh is about 42 miles north if you take Route 9N and then Interstate 87.
