How Whitcomb Got Its Name

The community was first known as Luzon. On January 31, 1910, its name was changed to Whitcomb. This new name honored a person named G. Henry Whitcomb.

The Old Post Office

For many years, Whitcomb had its own post office. It opened on April 10, 1909. The post office helped people send and receive mail. It was an important part of the community. However, it closed down on October 31, 1934.
