White Rock Beverages is an American company that makes drinks. It is located in Whitestone, Queens, New York City. The company started in 1871. A pharmacist named H.M. Colver founded it in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Long ago, the Potawatomi people and early settlers believed that a nearby natural spring called White Rock had special healing powers. Because of this, White Rock Beverages first became a place for people to visit for health and relaxation. By 1876, the company began putting this natural spring water into bottles. They then sent it to places all over the country.

Santa Claus in Advertising

Many people think that Coca-Cola was the first company to show the modern image of Santa Claus. This is the Santa we know today, with his red-and-white suit. However, White Rock used Santa in their ads even before Coca-Cola did for soft drinks.
White Rock first used Santa to sell their mineral water in 1915. Later, in 1923, the company used Santa to advertise their ginger ale.
History of White Rock Drinks
By 1923, White Rock Beverages was one of the biggest makers of mineral water in the United States. The company also made ginger ale and other soft drinks. At that time, the company's property was worth a lot of money. This included their land and bottling factories.
In 1941, the part of the company that made White Rock soft drinks was known as White Rock Mineral Springs Company.
The Psyche Logo
White Rock Beverages has used the image of Psyche as its company logo for more than 120 years. The company bought the rights to a painting called Psyche at Nature's Mirror. This painting was created by Paul Thumann. White Rock bought the rights to use this artwork at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893.
