Whorl Mountain is a tall mountain located in the northern part of Yosemite National Park. It sits just inside the park's boundary. This impressive peak is the 22nd-highest mountain within Yosemite National Park.
Whorl Mountain is found south of Matterhorn Peak. To its west and a bit south, you can find Bath Mountain. Excelsior Mountain is to the southeast. Also in the southeast are North Peak and Tioga Peak. Other nearby mountains include Twin Peaks and Virginia Peak.
Climbing Whorl Mountain
Climbing Whorl Mountain is considered a class 3 climb. This means it is a challenging climb that often requires using your hands for balance and movement. It is not a simple walk. Climbers need to be careful and have some experience.
