William Louis Patterson (born July 20, 1987) is a former professional American football player. He played as a linebacker, which is a defensive player who helps stop the other team from scoring. Patterson played college football for the Indiana Hoosiers. Later, he joined the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena Football League (AFL) in 2012.

Early Life and High School Football

William Patterson grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He went to Lawrence North High School, where he was a very good athlete. He played both football and was part of the track and field team. His skills in high school helped him get noticed by college teams.

Patterson decided to play college football at Indiana University. He committed to the school on November 21, 2005. Indiana University was the only major college that offered him a scholarship to play football.
