History of Williamsburg
Williamsburg was started in 1868. It was named after its founder, William Schofield.
The first post office opened in April 1869. For many years, the town's name was spelled 'Williamsburgh' until 1894.

The old Williamsburg High School used purple and white as its colors. Their mascot was the Panthers.
