Willie Dick is a former Australian rules football player. He played for two main teams: the Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Willie Dick was born in Goomalling, a town in the Wheatbelt area of Western Australia. He played a lot of games for Perth, 156 games in total, from 1985 to 2000. In 2012, he was recognized as one of the top 25 WAFL players from the previous 25 years.

Playing for Perth WAFL
Willie Dick started his senior football career with the Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He played many games for Perth over several years. From 1985 to 2000, he appeared in 156 matches.
He was a key player for the club during this time. His skills on the field made him stand out.
Time with Essendon AFL
In 1991, Willie was chosen by the Essendon Bombers in the 1991 AFL Draft. This meant he would get to play in the Australian Football League (AFL), which is Australia's biggest football league.
He made his first AFL appearance in 1992. His debut game was against the St Kilda Saints. Willie played seven games for Essendon's main team. He was also part of Essendon's reserves team that won a premiership (a championship).
After one season, Willie left the Essendon club. He returned home for personal reasons.
Family Connections in Football
Willie Dick's nephew, Brad Dick, also became a professional Australian rules footballer. Brad played for the Collingwood Football Club. He played for them between 2007 and 2011.
Later, Brad was drafted by the West Coast Eagles. He was on their rookie list, which is a special list for new or developing players. However, Brad did not play any senior games for the West Coast Eagles.
