Wincrange (which is Wëntger in Luxembourgish and Wintger in German) is a special type of local area called a commune in northern Luxembourg. It's also a small village within this larger area. Wincrange is located in the canton of Clervaux, which is like a bigger district.
Did you know that Wincrange is the biggest commune in Luxembourg by how much land it covers? It was created on January 1, 1978. Before that, it was made up of four smaller communes: Asselborn, Boevange, Hachiville, and Oberwampach.
As of 2024, the village of Wincrange itself, which is right in the middle of the commune, has about 237 people living there.

Famous People from Wincrange
- Johan Caspar von Cicignon (around 1625 in Oberwampach - 1696) was a soldier and military engineer. He spent most of his working life helping the countries of Denmark and Norway.
