The Town of Winfield is a small community in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. In the year 2000, about 752 people lived there.

History of Winfield

The Town of Winfield got its name from a famous military leader, General Winfield Scott. He was well-known for his actions in the Mexican War. General Scott also ran for president against Franklin Pierce.

Geography of Winfield

Winfield covers an area of about 35.5 square miles (91.8 square kilometers). Almost all of this area is land. Only a very tiny part, about 0.03%, is water. This means there are hardly any lakes or large rivers within the town's borders.

People of Winfield
