A Look Back: History of Winter Springs

Winter Springs started as a community called "Tuskawilla" around 1865. Later, in 1959, it officially became a city named "City of North Orlando."

However, this name caused some confusion because it wasn't actually next to the City of Orlando. So, in 1972, the city changed its name to "City of Winter Springs."
