Women's Professional Billiard Association facts for kids
The Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) is a special group for professional women who play pool. It organizes exciting tournaments and events mainly in the United States. The WPBA helps women who play pool as a job to compete and show their amazing skills. It was started in 1976. Two players, Madelyn Whitlow and Palmer Byrd, helped create it. Larry Miller, who was an editor for a newspaper about billiards, also helped. They wanted to create a strong organization for women in professional pool.
