Women's Professional Billiard Association facts for kids
The Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) is a group for professional women who play pool (also known as billiards) in the United States. It's like a special league or "tour" where the best players compete.
The WPBA was started in 1976. It was first called the Women's Professional Billiard Alliance. It was founded by two players, Madelyn Whitlow and Palmer Byrd, along with Larry Miller, who edited a newspaper about billiards.
