Wubb Idol is an exciting musical comedy movie made for TV. It's based on the fun animated series Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!. This movie is the second film from the series, following Wubbzy's Big Movie which came out in 2008.

The story of Wubb Idol is made up of four special episodes: "Wubb Girlz Rule", "Wuzzleburg Idol", "Wubbzy's Big Makeover", and "The Big Wuzzlewood Concert". It first aired on Nickelodeon in the United States on May 1, 2009.

In Wubb Idol, the main character Wubbzy and his friends meet a super popular music group called the Wubb Girlz. This group has three members: Shine, Sparkle, and Shimmer. They pick Wubbzy to perform with them at their big concert in a city called Wuzzlewood. Wuzzlewood is a lot like the real-life Hollywood! The famous singer and actress Beyoncé even lent her voice to Shine, the lead singer of the Wubb Girlz.

The DVD version of Wubb Idol also includes extra episodes. These are "Bye Bye Wuzzleburg", "Wubbzy's Wacky Journey", "Lights, Camera Wubbzy", and "A Wubbstar is Born".

Wubbzy's Big Adventure: The Plot

This special movie is about Wubbzy's exciting journey. It starts when three famous singers, Sparkle, Shimmer, and Shine, who are known as The WubbGirlz, arrive in Wuzzleburg. Everyone in town is super excited to meet them!

Meeting the WubbGirlz

The WubbGirlz travel from Wuzzlewood to Wuzzleburg by train. Wubbzy is busy playing with his toy train and doesn't notice them arrive at first. But soon, he meets them and gives them a warm welcome. He shows them around his hometown, Wuzzleburg.

All the citizens of Wuzzleburg are huge fans of The WubbGirlz. They search for the girls all day long. Finally, in the evening, they find them and give them a big welcome too. To celebrate their arrival, Wubbzy, The WubbGirlz, and all the Wuzzleburg citizens have a fun dance party at the Wubb Club.

The Wuzzleburg Idol Contest

After the party, The WubbGirlz make an exciting announcement. They are holding a talent contest! The winner will get to perform with them at their concert. This big show will be held back in Wuzzlewood.

Wubbzy decides to enter the "Wuzzleburg Idol" contest. Guess what? He ends up winning! So, Wubbzy gets to go to Wuzzlewood. His best friends, Daizy, Widget, and Walden, join him on this amazing trip. Wubbzy and his friends ride in the Wubbmobile. The WubbGirlz travel in style on a jet plane.

Wubbzy's Wuzzlewood Makeover

Once they arrive in Wuzzlewood, Wubbzy gets a big makeover for The WubbGirlz concert. People try to convince him that he doesn't need his old friends to be cool. This makes his friends feel sad and left out.

But Wubbzy soon learns a very important lesson. He learns about the true meaning of friendship and how important it is to always be yourself. Wubbzy realizes his mistake and goes back to The WubbGirlz, who are a bit upset. He changes his ways and becomes his old self again: just plain old Wubbzy.

The Big Wuzzlewood Concert

That night, the huge Wuzzlewood concert begins. Wubbzy is about to perform in front of millions of people. He suddenly gets stage fright! He feels very nervous about being on stage.

Backstage, Walden tries to help Wubbzy. He tells Wubbzy how to cure stage fright using hypnosis. Walden tries to hypnotize Wubbzy with a watch. But his plan doesn't quite work as intended. Wubbzy gets distracted, and Walden ends up hypnotized instead! Under hypnosis, Walden starts singing opera.

Luckily, the smart Widget steps in to help. In the end, Wubbzy's best friends are invited to join him. They perform together with Wubbzy and The WubbGirlz at the concert. It's a fantastic show for everyone!

Premiere Week Episodes

Before the Wubb Idol movie officially aired, there was a special "premiere week" of new episodes. These episodes aired from April 27 to April 30, 2009. The movie itself premiered on May 1. This schedule also marked the end of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! on Nickelodeon.
