Wowser (どんどんドメルとロン, Don-Don Domeru/Dommel to Ron) is a fun anime TV show. It is based on a Belgian comic strip called Cubitus. The show has 52 episodes, and each one is split into two parts.
Wowser first aired in Japan from April 5, 1988, to March 27, 1989. Later, it came to the United States in 1989 on The Family Channel.

Meet the Characters and Their Adventures
The main character of Wowser is a large, white dog named Wowser. He loves to eat a lot! Wowser lives with his owner, Professor Dinghy. The Professor is a very smart inventor.
Their neighbors are Beatrice, an older lady, and Linda Lovely with her brother Bob. There's also Ratso Catso, a black and white cat. Ratso often tries to mess up Wowser's day or break Professor Dinghy's cool inventions.

- Wowser (also known as Cubitus or Dommel) is the main character. He is a big, friendly white dog. Wowser has a huge appetite and just wants to have a good day. But Ratso or Beatrice often annoy him. He also helps Professor Dinghy test out new inventions.

- Professor Dinghy (also known as Sémaphore or Ron) is Wowser's owner. He has a big white mustache and wears a pink sweater. The Professor is a genius inventor. Wowser Around the World
The English version of Wowser was made by Saban Entertainment. This version changed the characters' names and used different music. It aired in 1989 on The Family Channel.
Where Wowser Aired
- In the UK, Wowser was shown on ITV and later on Channel 4 in the early to mid-1990s.
- In Canada, it aired on YTV between 1990 and 1993.
- The show was dubbed into Arabic in Jordan. This version was called Ka'abool.
- It was also dubbed into Euskera and renamed Dommel Artzain Txakurra (which means 'Dommel the Shepherd Dog').
- In the Dutch version, it was called Dommel. It aired on several channels from 1989 to 2013, and then again from 2015 on Pebble TV.
- The Italian version was titled Teodoro e L'Nnvenzione Che Non Va ('Theodore and the Wrong Invention').
- The Chinese version of "Wowser" was called IQ 零蛋多毛狗 ('IQ Zero Egg Hairy Dog').
